Dear Families,

I am so happy to be a part of the Griffin Memorial School community. The students, staff and families at GMS make it such a wonderful school. Parents and guardians are important parts of our community, and I encourage all of you to be involved with your child’s education. Many teachers send group emails and/or newsletters with classroom information. Teachers also utilize Google Classroom where they post class assignments and other information. Please reach out to your child’s classroom teacher to ensure that she has your contact information so you can stay informed of what is going on at school.

Parents are encouraged to volunteer for assorted GMS events throughout the year. Online at the litchfieldsd.org website there is information under the “District” tab about the initial volunteer process. Please print and fill out the paperwork in the “Volunteers and Student Teaching” section and then get in touch with me or Dan Mitchell to set up a volunteer training session. Returning volunteers can update their paperwork and send it to the GMS Front Office.
