Hello Parents & Guardians,

We had an active week this past week at CHS. Our students did a nice job performing “Check, please!” about the perils of blind-dates. Our recycling course received a grant to buy an automated wire-stripping machine, our RAD PE course completed their physical attack simulation for students, NHS ran a blood drive with the Red Cross, and Denise Freeman, art teacher, was recipient of our monthly teacher-sponsored, Golden Bell Teach of the Month Award.

Kudos to Dennis for his work to get a grant to support the CHS recycling program. Nice job to all of our staff involved. Coming up this week, on Tuesday there is a PTO meeting at CHS at 6:30 pm, on Wednesday morning, we are sponsoring a coffee with the admin at 7:00 am in the library (topics to be sent out later in a separate Blackboard announcement), and on Wednesday, our Art Portfolio students will be presenting their art portfolios at 6:00pm in the library. Also on Wednesday at 6pm, the school board will review our Program of Studies for the 17-18 school year. Finally, congratulations to Madison Reczko for receiving a $1,000 Comcast Scholarship.

Have a great week everyone.

Bill Lonergan, Principal
