February 5, 2018

Hello Parents & Guardians,

First, I heard a woodchuck somewhere in PA saw his shadow this past week, and thus we get six more weeks of winter.  I am not supportive of continuing to wake up the rodent from its nap, if this is true!  Let’s hope not.  I’d like to start off this update by recognizing our para-educators for all of their exceptional work to support us at CHS.  Whether they are working with specific students or are room specialists, our para-educators are all invaluable in helping our students succeed.  If you know any of them, you know what I am talking about.  If you have a chance, please express your appreciation for that commitment.  We had a terrific turnout from the community this past Thursday to meet & greet the Superintendent candidates.  I’d like to say thanks to students Lindsay Hobbs, Nick Boucher, Billy Randolph (also on the Search Committee), Sarah Stagnone, Molly McKenna, and Ryan Yanuszewski for giving of their time to help with that event Thursday evening.  The same appreciation is extended to our teachers, Justin Ballou and Dennis Perreault, for their hours with the Search Committee resulting in these three highly qualified candidates.  Looking ahead this week for sophomores, we have CTE presentations from Alvirne and Pinkerton on Friday, so please make sure your children seriously consider some of these valuable offerings not available here at CHS.  Have a great week, everyone!

Bill Lonergan, Principal
