Litchfield School District News Article

October 1, 2018

Hello Parents & Guardians,
Here we are in the 5th week of the school year, and things are moving so quickly already, and the weather is taking its welcome turn to autumn’s cooler days.  Last week was a good week with Homecoming events, the pep rally on Friday, and the athletic competitions over the weekend taking center stage.  Thanks to all who attended and supported CHS students and staff during these activities.  We’d like to say thanks to Coach Mills for his extra effort in trying to secure lights for Homecoming night games.  Unfortunately, with the recent disasters in Andover, the numerous local, road construction projects, and the hurricane in the Carolinas, our usual resources were unavailable.
If you have not had a chance to check out the patio in front of the press box, please do so.  The Booster Club did a terrific job in putting that together, and the fundraising bricks look great.
We do want to recognize and congratulate Student of the Month for September-Alex Jozitis and Star of the Month-Josh Hoffman.
Finally, don’t forget to remind your child about this week’s biennial Career Fair on Wednesday, Oct. 3, when we will have an alternative bell schedule for the day.
Have a great week everyone!
Bill Lonergan, Principal
