Hello Parents & Guardians, Hello Parents & Guardians,

We are entering our second week with students, a full one with our first “skinny Monday.”  With our unique modified block schedule, my hope is that freshmen and transfer students did not have any difficulty adjusting to the uniqueness of this week.  Our teachers and students have seemed to settle into the rhythm of the school year.  Mike Perez and I have done a number of walk-through observations in teachers’ classrooms and students are engaged and regularly using their Chromebooks in many.  We had a terrific “Welcome Back” breakfast provided by our PTO this morning.    I can’t express how much I appreciate their support.  If you have not had a chance to involve yourself, they are a very welcoming group for any parent and guardian interested in joining. Their first meeting is Tuesday at 6:30 pm in the CHS Learning Commons (Library)  Administratively, I have begun the budget process for 19-20, so this will consume much of my office time the next few weeks.  Next week is “Constitution Week,” and a number of teachers will connect activities to this.
One important update:  Underclassmen Photos will be taken on this Friday, Sept. 14.
Please make sure you remind your children of this.
Have a great week everyone!
Bill Lonergan, Principal
