Litchfield School District News Article

March 11, 2019

Hello Parents & Guardians,   Please join me in congratulating all the coaches and athletes for a tremendous winter season.  That includes basketball, wrestling, spirit, swimming, and hockey. Last Tuesday, we sent our Student Council to a training at Timberlane HS.  The junior class held a class meeting during Wednesday’s 22 minute Advisory to discuss senior year and post-CHSplanning, to review senior year activities and also heard from alumni Zach Wilson and TJ Furlong about their experiences after graduating from CHS.  We announced the Top 10 Students of the Class of 2019 (Actually, top 11 as we had a tie in GPA for #10).  Those students from 1-11 are Emily Coughlin, Grace Theberge, Noah Vaughn, Billy Randolph, Alex Jozitis, Zach Rousseau, Sofia Chiboub, Olivia Carlson, Dallas Schoff, Ally Dyson, and Sydney Sanchez. There is a PTO meeting on Tuesday at 6:30 in the CHS.  Also, the District Instrumental Concert and Chorus Concert are Wednesday and Thursday night at CHS at 6:30pm.  We also have the Friends of Music sponsoring a night at the Palace Theater to see A Chorus Line on May 3.  Please see the attachment for information about purchasing tickets.  Don’t forget to vote on Tuesday.  There are some important school related votes on the ballot.  Also, just a reminder that if you are looking for information on the new driving school we have contracted with, follow this link:  http://granitestatedrivingschool.com/.  Finally, if you have time, again we would love to have you here in the CHS Auditorium on March 20th for our A.L.I.C.E Safety Protocol review.  Have a great week everyone!  Bill Lonergan, Principal
