Litchfield School District News Article

January 22, 2019

Hello Parents & Guardians,
Now that we have a return to more seasonal weather conditions, please make sure your children have dressed appropriately for our NH winter.  It is particularly important as we know when we are facing today’s arctic blasts.  Just a reminder that this is exam week at CHS and the PTO has again gone out of their way to assist our teachers to make sure students are prepared with waters & snacks, pencils, and hand sanitizers in classrooms.  Their support is greatly appreciated by all of us.  Much appreciation to Denise Freeman for last week’s coordination of our winter Art Show and the word is out that our students earned 4 silver key awards and 5 honorable mentions in the Scholastic Art Awards for their artwork among their peers in NH.   Congratulations to Denise and the Art Department on that fine work.  I’d like to extend wishes of good luck to Katrina Reid, our part-time art teacher, who is leaving us after exams to take advantage of a business opportunity. Second Semester will begin on Monday, January 28, and we are hopeful the parent portal will be open on the 29th for parents to review semester 1 grades.  And finally, please remind your freshmen, sophomore, and junior students of the Electives Fair on January 30 in the first-floor hallways so they can get information from teachers on possible electives to sign up for.  Have a great week everyone!
