Litchfield School District News Article

December 17, 2018

Hello Parents & Guardians,
It is almost the holiday break.  We have been fortunate not to have interruptions due to the weather and that looks like it will continue this week.  Please keep reminding your senior students that their Senior Project Rubrics are due December 21 at 11:59 p.m. on the Senior Projects Google Classroom.  Also, we have begun preparations for course selections, and we are reviewing the offerings.  Please talk to your children about the importance of making the right decisions on course signups as we move into January and February.  We had a group of our performing arts students get into the spirit of the season to see A Christmas Carole at the Palace this past week with instructor Jill Pennington.  We also received a nice email from a parent thanking Jodi Callinan for her terrific assistance to a student with the college process.  The parent mentioned hearing negatives about how other schools managing this, so we feel fortunate for the work of the CHS counselors.  We have had a tremendous response from the CHS and Litchfield community supporting our families during this holiday season.  We do appreciate all the support given.  That support is always strong from our student groups, our staff, students and their families, and again we received an especially generous donation from the Litchfield Police Association.  Have a great week, and a great holiday break everyone!  Bill Lonergan, Principal
