Hello Parents & Guardians,

Thanks to Jason and Brandon in IT for providing training on the Chromebook monitoring app Go Guardian for teachers and para-educators. (If you have not had a chance to check this out, Jason has been very supportive in offering training.) Thanks to Andrea Stern for your willing to stay late and assist parents with IC at the open house as well. We are fortunate to have such a collegial relationship with our IT staff.

First of all, thank you to all of the parents who came to Open House last week. While it makes for a long day for our teachers and staff, it is worth it for us to either re-connect with parents we have worked with previously or to establish new connections to our students and their families. That personalization is one key to our success at Campbell. We are continuing to work on school safety planning here at CHS, and hopefully your children spoke to you about a “Stay in Place” we instituted on Friday. It was only for several minutes, and the interruption to the school day was minimal, but following our processes is crucial to ensuring we can provide for the safety of students in our care.

Looking ahead, this week has several important events taking place. Our first two hour delay is on Wednesday, and that will provide us some time to take care of some professional work related to the new Chromebooks and the NEASC Accreditation process. Also, it is Homecoming this week, and we sent out a Blackboard on Friday with the daily themes and activities for the week. Please check that out or call the main office if you wish to attend and support students at the athletic competitions.

Have a great week everyone!

Bill Lonergan, Principal
