Looking back on last week, I am counting myself fortunate that I only lost power from Sunday-Wednesday last week.   I was able to come in and work on Tuesday, thanks to our local first responders for turning on the generator here and for our IT department making sure we had internet access.   This week is the start of Make a Difference week in the school district as all three schools are in a friendly competition taking up a food collection for local food pantries.  If you can send your child in with canned foods, that would be great to support a worthy cause.  Additionally, one of our seniors is collecting donations for the Manchester Animal Shelter and the donation box is in the main lobby (flyer attached).  This past weekend, I had a chance to attend the football team’s decisive playoff win over Interlakes.  They will play Stevens High School this coming Saturday at 1:00.  Also, I went to Pinkerton and I saw the Spirit Team compete at the Division 3 State Championship Sunday.  Their routine was terrific, and if you know of any cheerleaders, congratulate them on a job well done.  This Thursday, we are again meeting with the town Budget Committee at 7:00 pm here at CHS to answer any questions they have on our 18-19 school year budget.  We’d love to have parents here supporting CHS in that process.  Looking ahead, we have Parent Teacher Conferences in a couple of weeks (Nov. 20), and we are looking forward to having you all here discussing your child’s progress with teachers.
Have a great week everyone!
