Superintendent Finalists Announced
The Litchfield School Board is pleased to announce they have selected three finalists for a new Superintendent of Schools to replace retiring Superintendent James O’Neill.

The District utilized input from a survey sent to the Litchfield community as well as school staff and parents.  The survey results were used to identify what the community perceived as the characteristics needed in the next Superintendent.

To ensure the community’s involvement in the process, the School Board authorized the District to establish an interview committee that included members from throughout the Litchfield community.  The committee completed first round interviews and presented the School Board with four candidates.  The School Board reviewed their applications and conducted interviews. From this group the Board selected three finalists.

The three finalists from the search process are: Dr. Jennifer Dolloff, Educational Consultant currently consulting for Easter Seals and Hollis-Brookline School District; Dr. Michael Jette, Assistant Superintendent for the Bedford School District; and Dr. Christine Martin, Principal for the Manchester School District.

The process will continue when the School Board hosts a “Community Meet and Greet the Candidates” night at Campbell High School on Thursday, February 1, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.  All finalists will be available to meet with interested community members.

“We believe that the hiring of a new Superintendent is the most important decision a school board can make for the students, parents, staff and local community.  Ensuring community involvement in the process was critical to us and we have been as transparent and inclusive as possible,” stated Brian Bourque, Chairperson of the Litchfield School Board.

The School Board will announce the new Superintendent to the community in February.
