Hello Parents & Guardians, With week 3 behind us, I’d like to say thank you to all the parents who joined us at Open House last week. We are pleased to see so many parents taking time out of their busy lives to be involved in their child’s school life here at CHS. We are wrapping up the first stage of the 2019-20 internal budgeting process and our meetings with Curriculum Facilitators and teachers to determine departmental needs. Please remind your children about this week’s themes related to Spirit Week and Homecoming at the end of the week. Monday is SWEATS AND PJ DAY, Tuesday is TYE-EYE/THROWBACK DAY, Wednesday is SUPERHERO DAY, Thursday is SPORTS DAY, and Friday is SCHOOL SPIRIT DAY & Class Colors. Thursday is Financial Aid & Senior College Info Night @ 6:30pm in the Auditorium, and any student or parents can attend that event. There is a Homecoming Dance Friday from 8:30-11:00 pm. Tickets are being sold during lunches. Please check the Athletic Schedules on the website for the Homecoming games and times.

FINANCIAL AID & SENIOR COLLEGE INFORMATION NIGHT: Thursday, September 27thth at 6:30pm in the auditorium. The Financial Aid presentation will run from 6:30p-7:30p and then Senior College Information will be facilitated by CHS’ Jodi Callinan from 7:30p-8:30p. This presentation is designed to educate the student and family about the college admission process and timeline. Juniors and their families are also welcome to attend.
PSAT’s
All freshmen, sophomores & juniors will take the PSAT exam with their advisors on Wed, October 10th from 7:35a-noon (rooms will be posted in the main lobby the day before the exam). Seniors will have the opportunity to job shadow or attend a college tour and will register for one of these opportunities in advisory tomorrow (Tues, Sept 25th).
Career Fair:
We will be hosting a career fair for all students on Wed, October 3rd. Your student will have the opportunity to sign up (in advisory) for specific speakers on Tues, Sept 25th. A special Career Fair schedule is attached.
