The Club is an enrichment program offered every day after school at Litchfield Middle School.  It is open to all LMS Students.  Each year, the Club starts on the first day of school and usually ends on the last day of school.  Typically, the enrichment sessions start the third week of the school year.  Each session runs for five weeks.  Club members choose which activity they attend for each time slot.  At least two options are offered.  More options are added when club enrollment increases.  For the 2009/2010 school year, the following schedule (subject to change depending on school calendar/weather) is planned:

Power Hour/Homework Time

  • Session 1 - September 14th to October 16th
  • Session 2 - October 19th to November 20th
  • Thanksgiving Week - Open Mon. & Tues. - Wed. Schedule
  • Session 3 - November 30th to January 8th
  • Holiday Trip Week - December 28th to December 31st
  • Session 4 - January 11th to February 12th
  • Session 5 - February 15th to March 26th
  • February Vacation Camp - February 22nd to February 26th
  • Session 6 - March 29th to May 7th
  • April Vacation Camp - April 26th to April 30th
  • Session 7 - May 10th to June 11th
  • Last week of School - Special Programs

Club Staff

In order to work at the Club, all paid staff must be at least 18 years old.  Current Staff includes:

  • Bill Roy, Program Director - Bill began working at the Club in July of 2006.  He has a master's degree and a bachelor's degree from Rivier College.  For the past three summers, he has also worked at Camp Doucet.
  • Jim Flis - Jim has been the Rocketry program instructor since Fall 2006.  He has also taught other programs as well, such as Pumpkin Carving and Magic.  Jim is a co-owner of FlisKits, Inc., a model rocketry company located in Merrimack, NH.
  • Volunteer Staff - the Club also has a few returning Club members (now Campbell High students) who are volunteer staff this year.
