Mc-Kinney-Vento Homeless Assistance Information

The Litchfield School District is committed to helping our students achieve success through all types of living and family situations by giving care and following all policies associated with the McKinney-Vento Act for homeless children and youth. The act is meant to assist individuals who "lack a fixed, regular, and adequate nighttime residence" by guaranteeing them the right to enroll in and attend school along with giving them the support they need for school success.

Sarah Pooler serves as the McKinney-Vento liaison for the Litchfield School District. She can be contacted at [email protected] or at 603-578-3570 x 3350 with any questions, concerns, or any need for support. School counselors and social workers at each school may also be contacted for assistance.

For more information on the McKinney-Vento Act, you can visit the New Hampshire Department of Education's website linked here.
