Litchfield School District News Article

February 17, 2020

Hello Parents, Guardians & CHS Community,  Last week we spent considerable time working with 9th grade students & families on selecting courses for next year, and it is good to have that box checked off in our scheduling process.  Today has been a quiet day at CHS, and I appreciate the routines of school and walking the hallways, talking to students and to staff, and seeing our staff in teaching mode, so to speak.  Also, I have been thinking today about February break next week.  It will be nice to beat back the winter doldrums with some warmer weather and sunny days.  Have a great week everyone and a terrific February break as well!  Bill Lonergan, Principal

Appreciation:
  • I’d like to thank CHS students Jordan Kanaley, Joaquin Heller Della-Vecchia, Lorelei Brown and Jianna Ramos for assisting us with our visit to LMS and for working with our 8th grade students to select their courses.  I also want to thank Travis Tucker and Emily Gamache for assisting with our presentations at 8th Grade Parent Night.  We are so fortunate to have these students volunteering to help us with the transition of our LMS students up to Campbell.
  • Thanks also to art teachers Denise Freeman and Paula Barry for supporting our students at the Scholastic Art Awards Ceremony at Pinkerton on Sunday.
  • Litchfield State Representative (and CHS super-sub!) Rich Lascelles invited Abi Buxton and Jake Taylor as his special guests to the State of the State Address at the NH State House on Thursday.
