Litchfield School District News Article

October 28, 2019

Good Afternoon Parents, Guardians & CHS Community,
Here we are in the 9th week of school, and already?  The leaves have mostly fallen, the days are getting darker earlier, and we are approaching the end of the first quarter.  On Tuesday of this week is the Town of Litchfield Special Election on the renegotiated Teacher Contract.  Voting will take place at CHS from 7 am to 7 pm in the CHS Gymnasium.  Please make sure you come and cast your vote.
First-quarter progress reports will be done on November 5.  We use these to determine NHIAA and co-curricular eligibility for the winter season, but they also provide an initial marker of student progress.  Directions on accessing your student's progress report grades (after 3:30p on Nov 5th) are attached.
At CHS this week, we are celebrating “Red Ribbon Week” sponsored by SADD.  Theme days include  Monday- “Lei” Off Drugs Day- (Hawaiian shirt day),  Tuesday- “Team up Against Drugs” Day, Wednesday- Red Day & Schoolwide Photo, Thursday- “Drugs are Scary” - Halloween Costume Day, and Friday- “Give Drugs a Boot Day” Cowgirl/boy day.
The CHS Performing Arts program is opening its annual Swag Store fundraising on Nov. 4.  Here is the link:  https://redbrickclothing.com/rbcmall/stores/store/331.  Please contact the CHS Friends of the Performing Arts for information.
Also, your final days to get the yearbook for $65 are here. Order now at Jostens.com. Prices go up on Friday, November 1.
Also, a reminder of Senior Photos- Seniors need to have their yearbook photos taken through Hockmeyer. If you need to set up a sitting please call Hockmeyer at 603-974-0198.  Outdoor Photo Shoots are just about done but you can call Hockmeyer direct to schedule.  The fall colors have made for a great background.  Also, a mini session will be available in late November/early December where students can have an indoor formal session done here at school. More details to follow.
Have a great week, everyone!
