Good Afternoon Parents, Guardians & CHS Community,
Last week was busy at CHS.  First, I want to thank CHS Paraeducator, retired Colonel Kelly Fraser, for both his service and for his willingness to do our annual Veteran’s Day recognition for students on Friday.  Thanks to all the Veterans who have sacrificed for the freedoms we have.
Also last week, we had our science faculty attend the School Board meeting Wednesday to discuss inquiry-based science programs.  We really appreciate the great job they are doing preparing students in their scientific pursuits.
Fall sports concluded this weekend, and I want to congratulate all student-athletes for their successes.  I am pleased to report the boys’ soccer team again are the NH Div III State Champions.  Special congratulations to those athletes and Coach Bill Miller on repeating!  Speaking of athletics, tryout dates for winter sports are as follows: Boys basketball & Gymnastics are on Nov 25; Spirit, Girls basketball, and wrestling are Nov 18, and ice hockey and indoor track are on Dec 2.  Thanks to the Athletic Boosters for providing support to the swimming athletes.  Please make sure your child is signed up on FamilyID which is required for him/her to try out.  Any questions, please contact AD Knight or his Assistant, Mrs. Mathews in the Athletics Office at x3118.
Parent-Teacher Conferences are coming up on Monday, November 25.  We will be sending out a separate Blackboard email this week with instructions to schedule meetings with your child’s teachers.
Our PTO has a meeting scheduled for 6:30 tonight, Nov 12, and our Fall Athletic Awards are at 7:00 in the Auditorium.
Have a great week everyone!
