Good Afternoon Parents, Guardians & CHS Community,
On a personal note, now that Daylight Saving Time is here and we’ve set the clocks back, I must say I don’t like darkness earlier at day’s end.  A huge congratulations goes to CHS senior Catriona Chew on her 5th place individual finish in a national competition with the Alvirne HS FFA.  This is an amazing accomplishment for Cat!
With the special election being over and Teacher Contract passing, thank you to all who came out and voted.
I made a mistake last week saying the CHS Performing Arts program is opening its annual Swag Store fundraising on Nov. 4.  Today is actually the day they close the fundraiser, but you still have a chance to order, so here is the link:  https://redbrickclothing.com/rbcmall/stores/store/331.
Our school counselors will be meeting now with Junior Advisories, our Student Council will be attending their annual Waterville Valley Fall Conference, and the NHS Induction will be at 6pm on Friday.
As far as academics, we will run Q1 Progress Reports on November 5 to determine eligibility for co-curriculars and athletics.
Speaking of athletics, girl’s soccer faced a tough first-round opponent and bowed out of the NHIAA tournament last week, however, Boys Soccer will play Wednesday at Laconia, Girls Volleyball will also play Wednesday at Plymouth State, and football will begin tourney play this weekend.  As always, your support of our student-athletes is greatly appreciated.
Tonight there will be an Athletics Booster Club meeting @ 7:00 pm in the CHS Learning Commons.
Enjoy the upcoming Veteran’s Day Holiday weekend, and have a great week everyone!
Bill Lonergan, Principal
