Hello Parents, Guardians & CHS Community, I hope all had a nice, extended Thanksgiving with family & friends. Due to the recent school cancellations, our Annual Performing Arts Department Winter Concert is postponed until Monday, Dec. 9th at 7pm in the Auditorium. All are welcome to attend!
I want to thank Student Council for their annual “Make A Difference Food Drive” before Thanksgiving. Thanks for the community support, as CHS supplied over 800 items to the Litchfield Food Pantry.
Also prior to break, English teacher Rachel Phillips brought in a family heirloom, a Battle of Gettysburg musket, to US History classes. We appreciate Rachel sharing her family history and also Litchfield PD SRO’s Donnelly and Corl safely transporting it at CHS.
One final important message: the calendar approved by the Litchfield School Board shows a "tentative" workshop day Tuesday, January 29, 2020. This workshop is scheduled to coincide with the NH Presidential Primary since CHS serves as Litchfield’s polling place and we anticipate a lively turnout. The Secretary of State has finally declared voting will occur Tue, February 11. Thus, January 29th will be a regular school day, and students now will have February 11th off for the workshop day. Due to this change, our annual 8th Grade Parent night information session will be moved to Monday, February 10th at 6:30pm in the CHS auditorium. There will be an updated calendar posted on the district website.
Have a great week everyone!
Bill Lonergan, Principal
