Hello Parents & Guardians,      

If you missed out on my Tweet last week, it is great to announce the Top 10 of the Class of 2018: 

Matt True (Valedictorian), Brianna Perry (Salutatorian), Trevor Gomes, Nicole Orozco, Sarah Stagnone, Lindsay Hobbs, Catie Callinan, Jarrod MacDonald, Mary Kuczkowski, and Seth Bonvouloir.

Also thanks to all of the teachers supporting them in this journey.  We’d like to say congratulations to all winter sports team for their good seasons.  Unfortunately, the boy’s basketball team lost in the finals to a tough Somersworth team on Saturday.  Thanks to coaches, Suti Ledt, Bob Gannon, Drew Gora, Renee Lubinski, and Jan Platt and their assistants for their great work with our teams and student-athletes.  To individual athletes, nice job on those successes including Trevor Gomes-7th in long jump in New England, Will Bauer-5th in DII in 100 backstroke and in the 220 freestyle, Katelyn Rakiey-6th in the 500 freestyle and 5th in 200 freestyle. For wrestling, Tyler O’Mara was DIII state champion, Trevor O’Mara finished 2nd, Jake Oberto and Robert Ladd finished 3rd, Devin Dube 4th, and Brendan Douglas 3rd.  In the Wrestling Meet of Champions, Jake Oberto finished 5th, Tyler O’Mara finished 6th and Robert Ladd 5th. 

Don’t forget that Tuesday is a Teacher Workshop Day and there is no school.  Don’t forget that Statewide SAT testing will be coming up quickly, on March 21s for all juniors.  And on one final note, don’t forget the PTO Spring Pie Fundraiser.  A Blackboard went out announcing this last week, and we do appreciate your support with all of the fundraising that occurs here at CHS.

All Students: 

  • As always, homework club is available Mon – Thursday from 2:30-3:30pm in the media lab for all students.
  • Please refer to the ANNOUNCEMENTS tab on the Campbell HS website for our daily information.  Our website is improving each week and you can find very useful information through this source.
  • Job Opportunity:  "Grader Operator"at DLB Paving (parents or students).  I realize the graduating class does not get out until June but am willing to train them afternoons and weekends until the season gets underway.  This position consists of operating a motorized grader for our paving company which requires checking grades and grading to prepare gravel base for asphalt paving of parking lots/driveways, use other equipment such as rollers, bobcats, backhoes and assisting with reading/take off on plans.  It is a great position for someone to break into the construction field and gain actual on-site/on hands experience.  Full-time position within the southern NH area.  Looking for an individual that is not planning on leaving in fall to go away to college.    Please call:  Dana Boucher @ 603-231-3121

Seniors:

  • Please look at Scholarships in Naviance (under Colleges tab) OR visit the guidance office for available scholarships. 
  • NH Scholars – students may verify that they have met NH Scholar requirements by looking at the list of names located on the front door of the counseling office.  Please see your counselor with questions. 

Juniors:

  • •           Juniors who plan to attend a 2 year trade program or 4 year college should be planning college visits during the months of March, April & May (if possible).  Those interested in 2 year certification/trade school programs should plan to visit Manchester and/or Nashua Community College.
  • Junior College Information Night has been rescheduled for Tues, March 20th, 2018 at 6:30pm.  A representative from Nashua CC will be in attendance as well.  Sophomore parents/students who want to get a jump on the process are welcome to attend.

Sophomores who applied to Alvirne:

  • There is a field trip on Thursday, March 15th from 12:25 – 2:30p to visit Alvirne’s CTE programs.  There is a bus available for you.  Please see Mrs. V in guidance for a permission slip.

Wed, Mar 21                           SAT testing for all juniors in gymnasium (7:35am – 1:00pm).  Juniors will be allowed to go home after the testing is complete.
