Litchfield School District News Article

November 13, 2018

Hello Parents & Guardians,
Good afternoon, With elections last week, we saw some significant challenges with parking and building access, and we are looking at alternatives for the future to avoid the traffic and additional parking and safety concerns.
Some of you may be aware that we have CHS students mentoring students at LMS through training provided by Counselor Bill Hicks.  Some also work with struggling CHS students.  If your child needs assistance, please don’t hesitate to call your child’s counselor for help.
Our Student Council members have presented to Freshmen Seminar classes about the value of fully applying themselves their first year at CHS.   Thanks to those students for their volunteerism.
We want to extend congratulations to Coach Glenn Costello, his staff, and the varsity football team for making it to the finals of the DIII playoffs, a rematch against Monadnock at UNH at 11:00 on Saturday, Nov 17.
I would like to extend a word of appreciation to Kelly Fraser, one of our para-educators for his Veteran’s Day message to students Friday. We appreciate his service and that of all our veterans.
A final reminder that Senior Graduation Cap & Gown orders will be taken Thursday, November 15,2018, outside the cafeteria during lunch.  The cost for the cap, gown and tassel is $18.50. Your son or daughter should bring in either cash or a check made payable to University Cap & Gown.  You may drop the payment in the Main Office prior to then or give it to University Cap & Gown during the day of measurements.
Remember that Parent-Teacher Conferences are next Monday.  Please make sure you use the Parent Teacher Conference Genius on our website to schedule these.
Finally, don’t forget the CHS PTO will be meeting Tuesday, Nov 13 at 6:30 pm in the CHS Learning Commons.
Have a great week everyone!
Bill Lonergan, Principal
