Litchfield School District News Article

January 14, 2019

Hello Parents & Guardians,

This past week was a good full week at CHS.  I’d like to congratulate CHS Counselor Jeff Parsons who was the recipient of our monthly Golden Bell Staff Award for his good work with students and his always good nature and kindness displayed here at CHS.  This past week the School Board voted to approve a warrant article for the March ballot to rename the CHS Auditorium after former CHS music teacher, Phil Martin.  They also approved our 2019-20 Program of Studies, another reminder that we will shortly begin the course selection process with freshmen, sophomores, and juniors.   If you are looking for something to do at CHS this week, we do have Art Night on Wednesday (Jan 16) in the CHS Learning Commons at 6:00.  Also, please check our athletic calendars at the following link https://campbellcougars.org/main/calendar/ for upcoming events.    The winter teams are really playing at a high level.  Keep in mind students will be taking their first semester exams from January 22-25.  Also keep in mind that student grades/assignments will NOT be visible on the Infinite Campus Portal starting on Friday, January 18, and they will become visible again on Wednesday, January 30 after teachers finish posting final grades. Finally, the 2019-2020 Program of Studies (course catalog) is now available on the CHS website homepage. All students will be choosing classes for the upcoming school year over the next month.  Enjoy next Monday’s Martin Luther King holiday off!  Have a great week everyone!  Bill Lonergan, Principal
