Litchfield School District News Article

November 5, 2021

Good Evening, Parents & Guardians, Students, CHS Staff and CHS Community,

First of all, I’d like to provide a reminder that the boys soccer team is playing for the State Title in Laconia this evening against Trinity High School at 5:30.  We are wishing them well in their final game of the season.  This is an NHIAA sponsored event and admission is charged, but if you get a chance to attend, the boys would love the support.  Also, football begins their tournament play tomorrow against Trinity in Manchester at 1:00.  Again, they would love your support there as well.  Again, admission is charged to attend.  One final note is that we are trying to increase the number of students who are seeking to earn credits for experiences outside of the CHS classroom through Extended Learning Opportunities (ELO’s).  This can be done through job shadowing experiences, internships, work study opportunities, and other planned and purposeful study in areas that are typically not taught in CHS classrooms.  If a student has ideas about earning credit in alternative ways at CHS, please reach out to Julie Green ([email protected]) for more information.  Also, if you as a parent or community member are interested in providing opportunities for students through your own businesses or employers, please also reach out to Julie to discuss the  possibilities.  We think this is a great way for students to earn additional elective credits through non-traditional pathways.   I hope you all enjoy the weekend!  Bill Lonergan, CHS Principal

From the Superintendent:

New COVID-19 Resource - To help ensure clear and consistent communication, our three school nurses, Ms. Vail-Naylor (GMS), Ms. Chambers (LMS) and Ms. Boucher (CHS), have created a new web resource for students, families and staff.  This resource contains up to date information about preventing the spread of COVID-19 in our school community.  It also offers guidance on testing including a list of current testing centers.  This resource is linked on the district website, and the website of each school.

Be well, Mike Jette, Superintendent of Schools
