Litchfield School District News Article

September 23, 2019

Hello Parents, Guardians & CHS Community,
For parents of students who attend CTE classes at Pinkerton Academy and Alvirne High School, we’d like you to be aware that CHS administration typically receives the same updates that parents do regarding emergency situations on their campuses.  In the case of Alvirne’s non-event on Friday, we did not receive the early communication though, just the final one at the end of the school day from the Superintendent.  We are working with Alvirne High School administration now on improving that process.  Please make sure you are checking your parent emails and/or phone calls for updates from our CTE partners or from us if your child has received information from other unofficial sources such as through social media.
Focusing back on CHS, this past week was a busy one beginning with our ALICE emergency information session for the student body in a whole school assembly and then “table talk exercises” in student Advisories on Monday, we had Open House on Thursday, and we ended the week with Freshman Seminar Challenge Day at the Darrah Pond Ropes Course on Friday.
As far as coming events, on Tuesday evening at 6:30 in the CHS Auditorium, we have the NH Higher Education Assistance Foundation presenting to parents and students about financial planning for post-secondary education.
Have a great week everyone!
Bill Lonergan, Principal
