Litchfield School District News Article

September 9, 2019

Hello Parents & CHS Community,
Last week was a very smooth start to the school year.  Nice to see all the new and experienced staff working together to welcome students back to school.  I’d like to thank the PTO and all those who contributed to our Welcome Back Breakfast this morning.  Having taught at other schools, I know how fortunate we are to have this support at CHS
As a caution, please understand that mornings and afternoons are busy in the CHS parking lot when the school day starts and releases.  We have many inexperienced drivers, and it is best to be overly cautious, particularly then.  Also, keep in mind our parent drop off and pick up of students occurs within the travel lanes of the student parking area in the front of the school.  Please do not use other areas for student drop off and pick up as it can complicate and cause greater challenges.  Please understand also that the roadway directly in front of the building is for bus traffic only during these commute times.   See the attached link for a visual guide.
Don’t forget the 2020 yearbook is now available to purchase on Jostens.com for the lowest price and order before September 27 for only $65.
Don’t forget also that our PTO, Athletics Boosters, Friends of the Performing Arts, and Community Schools Connection Committee (CSCC) are holding an Open House to introduce themselves on Sept 16.  We would love to see more of you involved and supporting CHS through these organizations.
Have a great week everyone! Bill Lonergan, Principal
