Hello Parents & Guardians, Our band arrived home from Hawaii Sunday after participating in the memorial band presentation on December 7. We are thankful to all parents, students and staff for their support in this endeavor. Congratulations to our Hugh O’Brien sophomore nominee, Sara Keane. The HOBY leadership seminar will take place during the first weekend in June. I apologize for not previously mentioning that CHS has two seniors, Jakob Scopelites and Annie Paquin, as liaisons with the Litchfield School Board on a regular basis. We appreciate their involvement and input. Some notes on staff contributions. Dala Johnson in math has been terrific all year assisting with New Faculty, and science teachers Bill Pothier, Shane Keyes, and Roseanna Dube have been super keeping the physics, engineering and forensics curriculum moving forward. CHS finalized its discussion with the Budget Committee last Thursday, and the last meeting for the School District will be Thursday, December 22 at 7:00pm. If you are interested, feel free to attend & support. The inconvenience of the snow day yesterday only hastens the rush of the final nine school days before holiday break.
