A message from CAMPBELL HIGH SCHOOL


Hello Parents & Guardians,  Good afternoon.  First, I’d like to say I do hope all enjoyed the Thanksgiving holiday with your families and friends.  I’d like to give thanks to our National Honor Society 2nd year members and to Faculty Advisor Cody Heartz for their work to celebrate our newest NHS inductees before Thanksgiving break.  Congratulations to the new inductee on the achievement!  Also, we’d like to say thanks to the Manchester School District and specifically to Christine Pariseau-Telge, the City Athletic Director, for providing access to Memorial and Gill Stadiums for our football tourney home games.  Unfortunately, although it ended in a loss in on a field goal with only one second left in their tough championship game, we do want to say congratulations to the coaches and the CHS Football team for a great season.  The Athletic Boosters will be meeting Monday, Dec 3 at 7:00pm in the CHS Library.  They also have a new website that they’d love to share with theCHS community. https://campbellathleticboosters.org/  Please check the fine work they are doing to support athletic programs.  On a final athletic note, the Campbell High School Boys' Basketball online store is ready if you would like to support the CHS and LMS  teams.  Every purchase gives back to the two programs.   http://maverickssquare.storenvy.com/collections/1733451-campbell-high-school-basketball
The CHS FIRST Robotics team will be hosting a “Parent Night & Informational Meeting for Robotics on Friday, Nov 30 at 6pm here at CHS in room 157 for parents of existing team members as well as students and parents who are looking to find out more about Robotics.  On one final note, parents of seniors, of any student, Now is the perfect time to place a recognition ad in the yearbook! Whether your son or daughter is a senior or a freshman, a recognition and is always a great idea.  In the future, seeing your message will bring a smile as they remember your love and support during these important years.  And, it’s easy to create a recognition ad.  Log onto Jostens.com and upload your favorite photo(s) and compose your message to your son or daughter. "Parent Night & Informational Meeting for Robotics" on Friday Nov. 30th at 6pm in the library.
 
PSAT Info Night for parents:         
On Tues, Dec 11th from 6:30pm7:00pm in Room 213 & 214, Jeff Parsons will present a PSAT scoring information session.  This will give you the opportunity to understand your student’s PSAT scores and how to move forward from here.
 
PSAT student presentation:
All freshmen will hear the PSAT score presentation on Friday, Dec 7th at 11:00am in the auditorium.  Sophomores & Juniors will hear the PSAT score presentation during advisory on Wed, Dec 12th.
 
Stay Work Play Technology Internship/Career Fair,  by NH Sector Partner
Held on Wed, Nov 28 at Manchester Community College from 4:00 to 7:00PM, this event will serve as the formal launch of Stay Work Play’s NH Employer's Internship Guide and an internship and career fair for high school and college students interested in careers in technology.  Prior to the fair, participating employers will have the opportunity to hear a panel of experts talk about internship best-practices and success stories.  This event is FREE for attendees and participating companies.  Please register at:

1.         FAFSA Filing:    The 2018-2019 FAFSA can now be filed for the 19-20 school year.  If you would like assistance with filing, please call NH Higher Education Foundation in Concord at 888-747-2382 x119
2.         Scholarships:   Please look in Naviance under “Colleges” then “Scholarships” to see what scholarships are now available.
 
JUNIORS:
Counselors will start meeting with juniors individually in mid to late January to discuss senior year classes and to talk about post high school plans.
 
REPS VISTING GUIDANCE:
Seniors:   Please sign-up on your NAVIANCE homepage or stop in the School Counseling office for a pass. Juniors are welcome to attend if in a study hall only.
