Litchfield School District News Article

December 10, 2018

Hello Parents & Guardians,

We had two great students performances this past week.  The first was our Winter Concert, which was a wonderful tribute to Phil Martin.  It was a superlative job by instructors Jill Pennington and Carolyn Leite and their chorus and band students, and having Phil’s family there and seeing their appreciation was really uplifting.  We also had English teacher Kelsey Sullivan bringing out the best of our theater students in The Scheme of the Driftless Shifter.  The students clearly were enjoying their time in the spotlight.  A word of appreciation goes to our CTE students who are bused to Alvirne for the phone call to alert CHS of a car accident involving a CHS student.  While the student was okay, it resulted in total destruction of the vehicle.  We really appreciate our students’ commitment to one other and to our concern for their well-being also.  We’d like to thank paraeducator Kelly Frazer for his announcement recognizing the 77th anniversary of the Pearl Harbor attack to ensure we recognize and appreciate the service of our nation’s soldiers.  We have only two weeks of classes before the holiday break, so please ensure your children are staying atop their classwork to minimize challenges during the interruption of classes.  And finally, if you are interested, we have a PTO meeting on Tuesday at 6:30 pm in the CHS Learning Commons.  Have a great week everyone!  Bill Lonergan, Principal
