My name is Kristin Starrett, I am the Art teacher at Griffin Memorial School. I cannot wait to see the amazing, creative artwork my students will make this year!
This year the Unified Arts schedule is a block schedule in which students have art class for nine days in a row each quarter. During these nine days my goal is to complete 2-4 art projects. Artwork is sent home at the end of each Art block, some artwork will be kept for a spring art festival at Campbell High School. If I do keep a work of art for the show I will make sure that it is uploaded to Artsonia.com so that families can still see the work and complement the artist. Please visit the website and see what we have been up to so far!

Curriculum objectives in the Visual Arts are designed sequentially and will allow students to:
explore a variety of media, techniques, and processes when making art
learn to use art materials and tools in a safe and appropriate manner
develop their own creative abilities and craftsmanship while applying the elements and principles of design
make connections with other disciplines, history, culture, and daily life
