Debate Club’s mission is to provide a safe space for students to share different thoughts or ideas on popular topics, and to practice different formal and informal argumentative skills. Students may elect to attend Debate Tournaments, if they wish. All students are welcome and encouraged to attend. Debate Club Meetings typically occur every other Thursday in Room 235 from 2:23 to 3:15. Debate topics range from “Does pineapple belong on pizza?” to “Should we have more gun control?”. The focus of a discussion is based off of the wants of the group as a whole.
