NHS Volunteer opportunities are posted on the NHS Bulletin Board at the end of the South Hallway at CHS.

Active member of the NH-NHS

Active Members of our chapter of the National Honor Society must complete 25 individual and 5 group service hours their Junior year, and 20 individual and 5 group service hours. Active memberships must attend all general membership meetings. Active members must participate in our annual chapter projects, as determined by the membership.

NHS By-Laws

Members are required to follow the chapter NHS By laws 2023-2024. Students who do not follow the chapter By-Laws may be dismissed from the chapter. 

Eligibility for NHS

Students Eligible for NHS will receive an eligibility letter prior to the Junior/Senior year if they have a GPA of 3.90 or higher. They will be expected to fill out an application with various sections about their leadership experiences, volunteer hours, extracurricular activities, as well as obtain recommendation letters from staff and write an essay on a given prompt. The applicants are sent a digital application to fill out with further instructions. The eligibility standards are also listed in the CHS Student Handbook.
